Alan Fitzpatrick - BPM Festival Portugal 2017 (BE-AT.TV)

Ending our 3rd year partying in Dundee with as big a bang as what we started it..... we welcome techno aficionado, Alan Fitzpatrick. The man of the moment in techno. This guy's been grafting since 2009, and as of the last couple of years everything he has been putting out has seriously been hitting the spot with a string of DJs that reads like a who's who of house / techno. With fans in; Dubfire, Carl Cox, Len Faki & of course label head, Adam Beyer. If he counts these people as fans he's obviously doing something right.

Having enjoyed a breathlessly successful 2015, there can be no doubting Alan Fitzpatrick's position as one of the most influential electronic artists of the moment. Pumped up by yet another series of head-turning productions over the previous twelve months, the Englishman's profile continues to transition rapidly from the techno underground towards the electronic music main stage, attracting significant attention from BBC Radio 1, Mixmag and Resident Advisor and elevating Fitzpatrick to the position of worldwide headliner. A status supported by the release of Fitzpatrick's Fabric 87 mix compilation in April 2016 and the accompanying 25-date tour that will roll out across Europe before touching down in North and South America. Already a universally respected and in-demand producer, Fitzpatrick has succeeded in carving out his own musical niche within the ever-expanding genre of techno, earning him the reputation of a seemingly unstoppable source of hit music.

Fitzpatrick now holds a high status as a universally respected and in-demand producer and DJ who has succeeded in carving out a recognizable musical niche for himself within the ever-expanding genre of techno. A seemingly unstoppable source of hit music, Fitzpatrick's productions seem to eclipse all those around him with tracks such as 'The Tetra', 'In The Beginning', 'Always Something For Nothing' and 'Skeksis' topping charts for sustained periods and in the process drawing high praise from his peers across the techno scene for the vibrancy, originality and inventiveness that has come to characterize Alan Fitzpatrick tracks. 2014 saw the emergence of a broader sound from Fitzpatrick's palette. Releases for James Teej's 'My Favorite Robot' label and Paul Ritch's Quartz Records or the soon to be released remix of Stevie V's classic 'Dirty Cash' exposed a more soulful, deeper sound that has its roots in house more than techno. However, it is Alan's output for Drumcode in particular that has worked to grow his reputation as a maturing and dynamic producer capable of bringing stylistic variety to his productions.

As ever on the night we will have our trusty residents just fresh off the back of their Boxing Day blow out, Van D & Ethan bell, and they will be ready to pull one big massive final cracker before the year is out...
